Bengals QB Joe Burrow speaks out about racial inequality issues

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has again used his massive platform to speak out about non-football causes.

Thursday, Burrow took to social media to speak out about recent issues in the country.

He wrote the following:

“How can you hear the pain Black people are going through and dismiss it as nothing. How can you hear the pain and respond with anything other than ‘I stand with you.’”

Burrow’s statement comes on the heels of players and teams in several leagues striking Wednesday in response to the events in Kenosha, Wisconsin, bringing the sporting world to a standstill.

Recently, Carlos Dunlap had spoken up about issues as well, going as far as saying he wanted a sit-down meeting with Bengals owner Mike Brown to discuss how the team has responded to such issues.

This is hardly the first time Burrow has used his platform for the greater good. And like in the past, teammates and Bengals greats are sure to take notice.
