Bengals’ playoff game vs. Raiders gets shoutout from White House

The Cincinnati Bengals are a big-ticket item this weekend when they host a wild-card round playoff game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

How big are we talking? Getting-mentioned-at-the-White-House big.

Friday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki capped off her presser with a shoutout to the Bengals:

“One last thing. The Bengals are playing tomorrow. I’m just giving it a shout out so that my husband will be excited at home. They haven’t won a playoff game in 31 years.

Okay, we got to wrap it up.”

Indeed, it has been 31 years under the so-called Curse of Bo for these Bengals. The Bengals have a chance to put that all to bed against the team that started that very curse.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET. And if the White House nod wasn’t a sign of the game’s importance, record ticket sales and experts picking the Bengals to win left and right speak to the magnitude of Saturday’s game.
