Bengals players have some questions about NFL’s new post-game rules

There were always going to be some bumps on the road to the 2020 NFL season as the league figures out how exactly a season will happen.

Thursday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported players won’t be allowed to do the traditional post-game festivities, including jersey swapping and otherwise:

“NFL teams will be forbidden from postgame interactions within 6 feet of each other and jersey exchanges between players will be prohibited during the 2020 season, sources say.

Another way the NFL will look different in the COVID-19 world.”

There are some obvious flaws to point out in the logic of such a decision, which plenty on social media did right away.

That includes Bengals wideout Tyler Boyd and new free-agent linebacker Josh Bynes:

Obviously, there is still plenty of time for adjustments to the gameday protocol. Training camps remain set to start at the end of the month but the actual proceedings of the season are likely to change multiple times — even between now and when camp starts.
