Bengals not expected to make move at NFL trade deadline, per report

Cincinnati Bengals trade deadline activity might end up being zilch.

As expected, at least per the team’s usual operating procedure around this time of year.

Still, it’s notable that in a report from The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Bengals are explicitly mentioned amongst the teams not expected to be active at all — alongside the Chiefs, Rams, Falcons and Texans.

Fans have surely tempered expectations, so much so that the top possible ideas out there are reunions. One is a suggested trade to get running back Samaje Perine back, while the other is a suggested trade to get tight end Hayden Hurst back.

While outlining 11 targets for the team at the trade deadline, we also highlighted pass-rushers who could help out Trey Hendrickson.

But barring a stunner, the Bengals aren’t expected to do much again, betting the playoff and championship hopes this year on the current roster as already assembled.
