Bengals news: Tee Higgins injury update, Ja’Marr Chase status and more

The Cincinnati Bengals provided one of the biggest injury reports of the year leading up to the team’s Week 10 game against the Houston Texans.

There, Tee Higgins was a surprise addition to the report after having a big game against the Bills in a win the week prior. This time it wasn’t the rib fracture — but something else that popped up during practice.

As expected, Ja’Marr Chase was also on the report due to his back injury alongside a few other big names.

And that’s not even all the news that went live during a busy day, so here’s a look at the must-know Bengals news, notes and quotes for November 9.

It wasn’t a secret that Chase was going to be on the injury report. Higgins, coming off one of his best games of the year, though, was a big surprise — especially because he entered the practice session healthy.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had some thoughts about the Chase injury situation, essentially suggesting that the star wideout missing time this week wouldn’t guarantee he actually misses the game against the Texans.

Bengals wideout Tyler Boyd says nobody on the team is overlooking the Texans, especially because of the star quarterback: “Houston isn’t a bad team at all. Watching them on tape, they play hard. They’ve got the young quarterback. He’s a great talent. His numbers are crazy, too. You can talk about him as MVP as well (with Burrow). Any team in this league can beat you (even if) the record does not live up to the hype. I think we do a great job around here not taking anything for granted. Playing every game like it’s the Super Bowl, like it’s a meaningful game and try to get a win.”
