It’s the bye week and the Bengals are 3-3, so now is the best possible time to step back and examine the rest of the schedule, predicting each game based on what we know about all the teams so far. Do we still have the Bengals making the playoffs after the rough start?

The Bengals aren’t likely to make a major move at the upcoming trade deadline. But if they were, we’d like to see them go after this star pass-rusher who could put the defense over the top.

More notable was a trio of fines for Seahawks players coming out of that same game. DK Metcalf was obvious after his boneheaded shove of Cam Taylor-Britt. But another Seahawks player got docked a stunning $50,000 for his actions.

Big 49ers news -- Bengals Wire

The 49ers revealed that star wide receiver Deebo Samuel will miss the next two games with a shoulder injury, meaning the Bengals won’t have to deal with him in Week 8. That’s a huge swing in the outlook for the game.

Here’s Bengals.com detailing just how close Sam Hubbard is to passing one of the all-time greats of the franchise: “Sam Hubbard’s next sack ties him with two-time Pro Bowl nose tackle Tim Krumrie for 10th place on the Bengals all-time list with 34.5 career sacks. It’s still a remarkable number for history’s most prolific tackling nose tackle, and it’s also a number Hendrickson might reach this season, too, since he goes into the break leading all NFL defensive ends with seven sacks.”

Bleacher report expects Cincinnati’s No. 1 corner to be one of the free agents who dramatically increases his value over the second half of the season.
