The Cincinnati Bengals got the best news possible out of a bleak situation early this week when they announced that quarterback Joe Burrow had undergone successful surgery on his wrist.

While the team still limited details about the exact nature of the injury and process from there, it was an important first step for player and team.

Plus, it helped take away some of the sting inflicted by that Week 12 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers that dropped the team to 5-6 while keeping them winless in the AFC North this year.
