Bengals’ Michael Jordan may have ‘suffered only a bruise’

The Cincinnati Bengals might just get lucky with another injury.

A week removed from Joe Mixon coming out of an MRI clean, the Bengals might have more good news with rookie left guard Michael Jordan.

Jordan needed a cart to leave the field during the loss to the San Francisco 49ers. But it turns out that could have been precautionary.

Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com explained: “Then in the middle of the fourth quarter rookie left guard Michael Jordan got carted off with a knee injury, but it appeared he had suffered only a bruise.”

It’s a big win for the Bengals if Jordan won’t miss extended time. Billy Price is the backup behind him but came in the game after and negated a touchdown with a penalty.

Next to Jordan, left tackle is a mess with Cordy Glenn in concussion protocol and Andre Smith imploding on the field and suffering an injury, leaving John Jerry as the last guy there.

Jordan is an incredible story, so it’d be nice if his rookie year didn’t get derailed like this. Barring a big change from within the organization in the coming days, the cart wasn’t a sign of severity.
