Bengals make roster moves to address offensive line depth

The Cincinnati Bengals made a small batch of roster moves Tuesday before Week 3 prep begins.

Keaton Sutherland has been promoted from the practice squad and will take the spot of Pharoh Cooper, who was waived. In Sutherland’s spot on the practice squad goes offensive tackle Dino Boyd.

Sutherland was originally a longshot for the 53-man roster but gets the call up here after Andre Smith left Week 2 at left tackle with an injury and guard Michael Jordan left on a cart. Jordan’s injury is expected to only keep him out a week, yet the team is now thin in the offensive trenches for at least a week.

The Bengals had claimed Cooper on waivers at the start of September after final cuts and he saw a few snaps in the regular season. But with the team set on special teams returns and Auden Tate healthy again, he was one of the first candidates to go if the roster needed relief elsewhere.
