Bengals make roster moves ahead of Week 18 vs. Browns

The Cincinnati Bengals put through a few housekeeping moves before the team’s season-ending clash with the Cleveland Browns.

After issuing a pretty extensive final injury report, the Bengals elevated the following players from the practice squad to the active roster:

  • QB Jake Browning
  • DT Mike Daniels
  • K Elliott Fry
  • S Trayvon Henderson
  • DE Noah Spence
  • G Keaton Sutherland
  • WR Trent Taylor
  • DT Renell Wren

These elevations will revert back to the practice squad on the Monday after the game.

More notably, it’s another sign the Bengals will deploy a ton of backups in key spots. Quarterback Joe Burrow is out. Names like Joe Mixon are on the reserve/COVID-19 list, too.

With Fry’s elevation, it seems clear the team won’t risk rookie kicker Evan McPherson, who is dealing with some tightness, too.

In addition to these moves, the Bengals hosted two other players on tryouts.
