Bengals list A.J. Green as out, Cordy Glenn a coach’s decision

The Cincinnati Bengals listed three players as out on the final injury report before the team’s Week 10 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Cordy Glenn isn’t one of those, which makes a confusing week even more complicated.

For reference, these are the players listed as out:

  • A.J. Green
  • Dre Kirkpatrick
  • Alex Redmond

By now, everyone knows the presence of Green there isn’t a shock. And neither is Kirkpatrick, who suffered a serious-looking injury and is only just getting back into the swing of things.

The lack of Glenn is interesting though — he’s tagged as questionable. Which based on the chatter around the team, isn’t necessarily true either.

Here’s some perspective from Jay Morrison of The Athletic:

Given what has transpired between the Bengals and Glenn to date, it feels like a small miracle he’s even with the team at all.

But if Glenn is healthy and since he’s on the roster, it’s interesting to think the coaches aren’t getting him out there to protect Ryan Finley in his first NFL start. Instead, guard John Miller will get the nod.

At this point, new and confusing developments are the norm in Cincinnati and this one isn’t much different.
