Bengals legends could benefit from Hall of Fame class of 2020 having 20 inductees

Ken Anderson and Ken Riley could finally make it into the Hall of Fame.

The Cincinnati Bengals legends might be some of the main winners if the Hall of Fame expands its class to 20 inductees as a way to honor the league’s 100th anniversary next year.

This is something apparently on the table, according to Hall of Fame president David Baker, as seen in the tweet above from SiriusXM NFL Radio.

“This is a real opportunity for us to take a look at how we’ve done things and say, ‘Hey, how can we do it better?’ ” Baker said.

This year the Hall will enshrine eight, including cornerback Champ Bailey, tight end Tony Gonzalez and safety Ed Reed.

The process has taken plenty of criticism in recent years for a number of things, though leaving players like Anderson out is among them. He ran the West Coast offense before most all the way to a Super Bowl in the 1981 season and was a pioneer at the position statistically, though fell short there, which tends to be the reason some suggest he’s missed out on the Hall so far.
