Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict ejected for contact with official

Vontaze Burfict just added a new entry to his NFL bad boy resume.

The Bengals linebacker was tossed from the first half of Sunday afternoon's game vs. the Titans after making contact with an official.

The ejection came after a tackle on Marcus Mariota as the Titans QB dove for the end zone on a 2nd-and-goal running play in the second quarter. After Mariota was marked short, Burfict appeared to make contact with the ref.

The ejection _ the first of Burfict's career _ came just two plays after he was flagged for unnecessary roughness.

According to reporters at the game, Burfict argued with fans as he slowly made his way off the field and then held up both hands doing the Johnny Manziel money sign gesture.

The veteran LB in his sixth season in the league is no stranger to NFL discipline.

The former Arizona State star was suspended for the first three game of the 2016 season for his vicious helmet-to-helmet hit on Steelers receiver Antonio Brown during a wild-card playoff game. He's also been fined numerous times for illegal hits and dirty play.

Burfict's most recent fine came when he was docked $12,154 by the league for unsportsmanlike conduct against the Steelers in Week 7. His on-field bad behavior has resulted in more than $300,000 in fines, per ESPN.
