Bengals ink Ryan Finley to rookie deal

Only one rookie remains without a contract for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Today, the Bengals announced they signed fourth-round pick Ryan Finley to his rookie contract. The North Carolina State product was a surprise pick by the team after they traded up to start Day 3.

Finley had some massive ups and downs in OTAs prior to signing the deal, though it is expected for a rookie passer. He’s on track to serve as Andy Dalton’s backup next year, though he’ll have some stiff competition from at least Jeff Driskel.

With Finley under contract, only third-round linebacker Germaine Pratt remains without a deal. But like Finley, it isn’t anything out of the ordinary as offset language in the contracts of third and fourth-round pick can cause a slight hiccup.
