Bengals in perfect spot with Joe Burrow as NFL faces unprecedented QB movement

The Cincinnati Bengals sit comfortably with an unquestioned franchise passer in Joe Burrow right as the majority of the league stares serious issues in the face.

Burrow merely heads into his sophomore year in 2021 and based on what the team saw last year, he’s going to be a long-term starter in the NFL. The Bengals now sit in a short, luxurious window where they can spend big around a rookie quarterback contract.

The rest of the league…not so much.

Headed up by the drama between the Houston Texans and star quarterback Deshaun Watson, the NFL faces an unprecedented amount of quarterback movement this offseason, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter pointed out:

By comparison, things will be pretty boring for the Bengals.

But boring is good for the Bengals as the task is simple — beef up the roster around Burrow to make sure he’s not on a list like the above in a few years.

While most of the league plays quarterback musical chairs, item No. 1 is the Bengals pursuing the best available free-agent offensive linemen.
