Bengals’ IDER plan approved ahead of training camp

The Cincinnati Bengals’ planned protocols for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have been approved by the NFLPA.

Saturday, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the Bengals were one of a handful of teams to get approval in a second wave of confirmations.

As of last Wednesday, the Bengals were one of 24 teams with a pending tag on their submitted plans and a release revealed 59 NFL players had tested positive for coronavirus.

The Infectious disease emergency response (IDER) plans vary. The Bengals have been at the forefront of preventative measures to date though, with the team well ahead of the league’s eventual mandate that fans in attendance at games must wear masks.

The Bengals also continue to adhere to the training camp rollout, which has resulted in a staggered arrival of rookies as they take tests before even getting to in-person football activities.
