Bengals have plenty of targets left if they want to keep spending in free agency

Things have cooled off for the Cincinnati Bengals in free agency.

But that doesn’t mean it’s over.

The Bengals didn’t sound done in free agency just yet and for good reason with some of the names still out there.

Look at the guard position, where Trai Turner is still sitting there. He’s going into his age-28 season and had a down year in 2020 with a 34.8 Pro Football Focus grade over 536 snaps. He could be a fit on the hope he can turn it back around once healthy and in better surroundings.

Other guards worth looking at include Zach Fulton and maybe Nick Easton.

And yes, losing out on the Kenny Golladay sweepstakes hurts — but it’s good the team was even involved in the first place. Wideout is still one of the deepest positions in free agency even now, so options exist.

Think, T.Y. Hilton, Sammy Watkins, Marquise Goodwin, and — dare we say it — Antonio Brown. And that’s just naming a few.

Right now, Cincinnati projects to have about $19-20 million to spend after Riley Reiff’s creative deal. Some of that will go to other things like the draft class, but there’s wiggle room to make more moves on the market and improve the team.

Which means fans can get excited again over what the team might do next.
