Bengals have allowed third-most pressures in NFL so far

To say the Cincinnati Bengals offensive line is struggling would be an understatement.

To say that’s got to be tiring for fans to read is…exhausting.

The line in front of Joe Burrow hasn’t looked much better than the line in front of Andy Dalton for a few years before a new coaching staff arrived and promised change.

Instead, Burrow’s been under siege more than most passers in the NFL over his first two pro games. According to Pro Football Focus, the Cincinnati offensive line has coughed up the third-most pressures so far in the NFL at 52.

There aren’t too many excuses that work. The team already lost a right guard to injury, but otherwise, the coaching staff still continues to rely on similar faces at spots like left guard and right tackle.

If there’s good news, it’s that the unit won’t face fronts featuring Joey Bosa and Myles Garrett every week of the season.

But given some of the longrunning decision making from the team when it comes to the offensive line, it’s valid to worry that Burrow is in danger of becoming the next Andrew Luck.
