Bengals go all-in around Joe Burrow in new 3-round mock draft

The Cincinnati Bengals seem like one of the more predictable teams in the 2021 NFL draft.

On paper, it’s all about Joe Burrow. If the best offensive lineman isn’t there at five, the team might elect to get him another high-upside weapon.

A new mock draft from Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling throws a fun wrinkle in the idea by going all-in on the offensive line over the first two rounds before getting Burrow a new wideout in the third round.

In that mock, the Bengals get Penei Sewell out of Oregon at five, then use the fifth pick of the second round to take Alabama offensive lineman Landon Dickerson.

After hitting two spots on the line, Cincinnati then uses a third-round pick on Ole Miss wideout Elijah Moore. That’s certainly one way to get another strong weapon on the field alongside Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. Moore played three seasons and ended up averaging 12.9 yards per catch for his career, racking up 2,400-plus yards and 16 touchdowns.

Of course, this is just one of many scenarios. What the Bengals end up doing could greatly hinge on free agency, where plenty of top-tier linemen should be available and the team has plenty of cap space to spend.

But if this is what happens on draft day? It’s material, provided the Bengals wrapped up their own key free agents.
