Bengals given worst odds to be NFL’s final undefeated team in 2019

Oddsmakers really don’t like the idea of the Cincinnati Bengals opening the season on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.

And as we’ve noted, the season opener in Seattle is a terrible turn of events for the Bengals.

Still, it is interesting to see a new set of odds slate the Bengals as the team with the worst odds to be the NFL’s final undefeated club next season.

After all, things didn’t look much better for the Bengals last year when they started the season with three of four games away from home. But they started 2-0 and went 4-1 outright to start the season before things fell apart, even pulling off some last-second wins in the process.

It is a long way of saying anything is possible. If the Bengals steal one in Seattle, three of the next four come against rebuilding teams like San Francisco, Buffalo and Arizona.

The exception there, of course, is a Monday night game against Pittsburgh.

But at this sort of payout, those who like to live on the edge wouldn’t be too unreasonable in taking the Bengals.
