Bengals get good update after Jackson Carman injury scare

The Cincinnati Bengals had an injury scare over the weekend during the loss to the New York Jets as rookie guard Jackson Carman had a cart come out after an apparent back injury.

Carman eventually didn’t need the cart to leave the field itself, but it was a scary moment for the player and team.

Fast forward to now though, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has classified the injury as “Day to day. Not serious,” according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic.

That’s a big sigh of relief for the Bengals, as it means Carman might be able to play in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns. He’s been starting at right guard when available and has been on the upswing after some rookie struggles. He’s a key part of the future and if he has to miss time, it’s sixth-rounder Trey Hill who would take snaps with veteran Xavier Su’a-Filo still on injured reserve.
