Bengals fans create viral trend with #GollaDEY free-agency pitch to Kenny Golladay

Cincinnati Bengals fans have started a movement.

After hearing the team has put in an offer on free-agent wideout Kenny Golladay, Bengals fans took to Twitter and got creative with a recruiting hashtag: #GollaDEY.

The hashtag quickly went viral, climbing the trending charts. It was an impressive feat considering it was sparring with things like Zack Snyder’s big movie rollout, among other big things that weren’t a small-market team fanbase trying to lure a No. 1 wideout to town in free agency.

It’s a testament to Bengals fans and the organic push they can put behind something together and if one had to guess, Golladay himself might have seen it.

Some of the notables:

The best way we could sum it up? Bengals fans are a force:

Maybe Golladay chooses the New York Giants, sure. But it’s a good sign the Bengals read the devalued wideout market and made a play for the top receiver out there.

And Bengals fans weren’t alone. Chad Johnson helped the recruiting efforts too. Most important of all? Joe Burrow put a pitch in to Gollaway too.

No matter what happens, this viral trending moment for Bengals fans makes it pretty exciting to see what they do next, whether it’s another free agent, the upcoming draft or even an extension over the summer for safety Jessie Bates (hint hint).
