Bengals fan and Virginia guard Kyle Guy is now a national champion

The Virginia Cavaliers took down the Texas Tech Red Raiders in overtime to win their first NCAA Championship, and Bengals fan Kyle Guy was a huge part their success.

After sending the game to overtime with a huge three from De’Andre Hunter, Virginia, who were down three in overtime, continued to fight. The final score ended 85-77, and the Cavaliers were champs.

Kyle Guy, the Cavaliers junior guard, was heartbroken after their historic loss in the first round last season. He did what fans hope the Bengals can do this season. He bounced back in a big way after grinding the entire season with one goal in mind.

Now, Guy is a national champion and the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player.

A lifelong Bengals fan, Guy received a shoutout from the organization prior to playing on NCAA basketball biggest stage. Apparently, it completed his life.

Guy scored 24 points including four huge threes.

During his junior year, Guy averaged 15.2 points per game. Not an elite NBA prospect, Guy will likely return for his senior season.
