Bengals claim QB Brad Kaaya from Colts

The Cincinnati Bengals claimed quarterback Brad Kaaya off of waivers from the Indianapolis Colts on Monday.

The Colts waived Kaaya from the roster on Friday after the second-year quarterback missed the entire season with a back injury on the injured reserve list.

Kaaya, a product of Miami (FL), was a sixth-round pick with the Detroit Lions in 2017 before the Colts signed him from their practice squad at the end of December that season.

Kaaya spent the entire offseason and preseason with the Colts before being placed on the injured reserve and missing the entire season.

The 23-year-old was set to be a free agent but will now join his new team with a new head coach in Zac Taylor.
