Bengals charted to have second-best 2020 NFL draft class

The Cincinnati Bengals, owners of the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL draft, currently sit poised to have the second-best class in terms of point value.

According to Tankathon, the Bengals sit behind only the Miami Dolphins in terms of value. The commonly-used scale comes from the Jimmy Johnson point system that assigns value to draft picks.

As of this writing, the Bengals have a point value of 4,041.2 based off their seven selections in the 2020 draft.

Considering the top overall pick holds a point value of 3,000 on its lonesome, the Bengals would typically sit with the most valuable set of draft selections in the league.

But the tanking Dolphins sit on a haul worth 4,502.9 points thanks to their 11 picks, three of which come in the top 26 and six in the top 100.

These standings can always change as teams make moves, which includes the Bengals. If nothing else, the chart is something to keep in mind when thinking about potential trades.
