Bengals at Seahawks snap counts: Jadeveon Clowney saw extra time

The Seattle Seahawks advanced to 1-0 to start the regular season after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals 21-20 Sunday afternoon at CenturyLink Field.

One player who logged more time than originally planned was defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, making his Seahawks debut. Clowney arrived in Seattle just last week after a trade with the Texans. He had only days to adjust to Seattle’s game plan yet managed 48 defensive snaps against the Bengals.

“He went a little more than we thought,” coach Pete Carroll said after the game. “But, he was fine, he felt good about it. So, we really knew we would have to play it by ear. I think he had 20-something snaps in the first half, which was not really the plan, but we were just out there so much, because we didn’t get much on offense at all. He’s 26 years old, he’s ready to go and all that. We’ll see. He’ll be pretty sore this week.”

Here’s a look at the rest of the snap counts and playtime percentages from the Seahawk’s first victory of the year.
