Bengals are home underdogs vs. Packers — but not by much

The Cincinnati Bengals are underdogs once again, this time entering their Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers.

That’s not too much of a shocker. But the Bengals only sitting as 3.5-point underdogs based on lines from Tipico Sportsbook certainly is.

One would almost expect lines to more heavily favor a Packers team led by Aaron Rodgers that has rattled off three straight wins to sit at 3-1.

But it’s a testament to these Bengals that they keep on winning and changing the minds of onlookers. Beating Pittsburgh on the road, then winning in primetime against Jacksonville with an offense that looks as explosive as any when it’s rolling has a way of doing that.

Interestingly, those Packers haven’t overly impressed on the road this year, losing 38-3 in Week 1 to New Orleans and winning by just two points in San Francisco in Week 3. The big asterisk next to that, of course, is just how good Rodgers is once again.

But this early in the week, it’s hard not to point an interesting eye at this sort of line given what the Bengals have accomplished so far. And with a passer like Joe Burrow under center, anything is possible, so expect more line movement.
