Benfica 'make huge contract offer' to ward off Manchester United interest in Joao Felix and more transfer rumours

Benfica are set to tie winger Joao Felix down to a new contract to ward off reported interest from Manchester United.

That is according to A Bola, who say the club will offer a new £2.1million-a-year contract to the exciting 19-year-old this season.

United have been linked with his signing for some time, but they would have to dig deep to bring him in as Felix has a £103m release clause. Now, though, Benfica seem to be trying to extend his stay at the Stadium of Light.

The youngster has 18 goals and 11 assists this season, so it is no surprise that Benfica want to get one more year out of their bright talent.

The report (via the Mirror) adds that Manchester City, Juventus and Real Madrid are tracking Felix's progress this season.

The five big names tipped for a Manchester United exit in the summer window

Meanwhile, United have been put on alert as Marcos Llorente considers a move to the Premier League, according to reports.

AS say United and Arsenal could both move for the midfielder if he is to leave Real Madrid this summer after he has fallen out of favour with manager Zinedine Zidane.

The report adds that the Spanish U21 international, 24, is also entertaining interest from Germany and Spain.

Finally, United will allow defender Eric Bailly to join Arsenal this summer on one condition, reports say.

The Mirror suggest the Ivorian will be allowed to leave Old Trafford, but only if the Gunners pay the reported £30m asking price for him.

The Bundesliga wildcard Manchester United should consider this summer
