Benefits payment dates for June Bank Holiday

Benefits payments should go ahead no later than their normal date despite this week's Bank Holiday, the Department for Communities has said.

Thursday and Friday of this week are designated as Bank Holidays due to the Queen's Jubilee celebrations.

The Department says those due benefits on those days will be paid by that date and no later.

It covers payments including:

  • Child benefit
  • Tax credit (both child tax credit and working tax credit)
  • Universal Credit
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Carer's Allowance
  • State pension
  • Pension credit
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payments

The Department has said that while some payments are made on different dates, the rule of it arriving no later than the due date will still apply.
