Centre-back Ben White refused to rule out the possibility of returning to Leeds United one day after his season-long loan at Elland Road came to an end.
The defender joined the Whites on loan from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion last summer and was something of an unknown quantity having never played at Championship level before.
However, the 22-year-old, who scored his only goal for the club in last Wednesday evening's 4-0 victory over Charlton Athletic, soon adapted to life in the second-tier like a duck to water.
Before you knew it, White was considered as the best central-defender in the Championship, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly keeping tabs on his development.
Now that Leeds, of course, have sealed a return to the Premier League, scooping the Championship title in the process, the West Yorkshire club will fancy their chances of re-signing the former Newport County loanee on a permanent basis.
But with Graham Potter - the Brighton head coach - likely to have grand ambitions for the centre-back after such an outstanding 2019/20 campaign, bringing him back to Elland Road could be a much easier said than done task for Leeds.
With his time with Marcelo Bielsa's side having now drawn to a close, White has taken to social media to thank everyone connected with the club, but has not refused to rule out the prospect of returning.
On Instagram, White said: "Having had some time to reflect on what has been the most incredible season, I wanted to take the time to thank everyone associated with Leeds United Football Club, including the incredible supporters.
"No matter what happens from here I will never forget the way you took me in and treated me as one of your own from day one.
"These memories and experiences will be with me forever. #MOT."
