Ben White has been one of the stories of Leeds United's season so far.
The 22-year-old has been an ever-present in the Championship for Marcelo Bielsa this term since his summer arrival on loan from Brighton, impressively filling the gap in the squad left by Pontus Jansson's departure.
White's composed, calm appearances at the back saw him take home the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for August, with his ability on the ball drawing many plaudits.
The latest of these admiring glances reportedly comes from Anfield, with European Champions Liverpool are said to be keeping tabs on the youngster and have been impressed by his development under Marcelo Bielsa, according to Football Insider .
Leeds United realistically know that unless promotion is achieved, any permanent move for White at the end of his year-long loan spell is highly unlikely, but the player himself is keeping his focus solely on getting Leeds back to the Premier League.
"It would be unbelievable," he told the Leeds United matchday programme ahead of the win over West Brom earlier this month.
"Leeds should be in the Premier League and that's where we are looking to be at the end of the season."
After third and fourth-tier loan spells at Peterborough and Newport over the past two seasons, this is the first time that White has played at Championship level and he believes the style of football in the second flight suits his game.
"It's been easier than I thought it would be, but I think that is because of the players I have around me. In League Two it is very different, you don't play out or have options when you get the ball. Coming here, I have three or four options every time I get the ball and it is nice to see."
