Ben White gives verdict on brilliant new Arsenal chant during Watford win

Arsenal fans have come up with a brilliant new chant for centre-back Ben White.

The Gunners delivered a solid Premier League display on Sunday afternoon, defeating relegation-threatened Watford 3-2 at Vicarage Road.

Norway international Martin Odegaard broke the deadlock in the fifth minute after some skilful link-up down the right-wing with Hale End academy graduate Bukayo Saka before the hosts struck level thanks to a fantastic acrobatic finish from Cucho Hernandez.

Saka soon restored the lead for Mikel Arteta 's men and Gabriel Martinelli clinched a third after some help from that Arsenal boss in the build-up.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko netted a late consolation goal for the Hornets but the north London outfit secured all three points to send them into fourth-place, one point above Manchester United despite playing three fewer times than the Red Devils.

A clip doing the rounds on social media showed the Gunners faithful signing a new chant for summer signing White, which went as follows: "Ole ole, ole ole, ole ole, ole ole.

"Benny White, White, White!

"Benny White, White, White!

"Benny White, White, White!"

White took to his Instagram account to give his own verdict on the chant, posting a quick video on his stories accompanied by a red heart emoji.

It is not just the fans that have been impressed with the 24-year-old's performances this term, with Arsenal boss Arteta heaping praise on the former Brighton star for his productive season at the club.

Speaking ahead of the win against Watford, the Spaniard said “He’s (White) had a brilliant season.

“I think again what he’s done, how quickly he’s adapted, how quickly he’s been able to handle the pressure with the number that he’s wearing, with the price that we paid, with what we demand him to do. Straight away at his age, he’s been great."
