Ever since the Philadelphia 76ers saw their season end in a second-round defeat to the Atlanta Hawks, it’s been seemingly nonstop dysfunction for one of the East’s most talented teams.
After getting thoroughly thrown under the bus in the aftermath of the loss, Ben Simmons demanded a trade and seemed poised to stay away from Philly no matter the financial implications. But the prospect of millions of dollars in fines did ultimately take a toll on Simmons, leading to the most begrudging return to Sixers camp. He practiced with the team for the first time on Sunday and was back at it on Monday with media in attendance.
Well, just because Simmons was physically present at 76ers practice, it didn’t mean he was going to hide how miserable he was to be there.
