Ben Shephard winces in pain as he 'slips a disc' getting Strictly training on GMB

Ben Shephard is one of the few Good Morning Britain stars who is yet to appear on Strictly Come Dancing , but he got a bit of a taster on Thursday.

Joanne and Kevin Clifton were on the ITV show to promote their upcoming tour when she gave him a quick dancing lesson.

Susanna Reid asked her: "Joanne we need to persuade Ben Shephard that he needs to sign up for Strictly.

"He loves the paso doble he watches Kevin's paso dobles on repeat. Can you just show him some steps?"

They tried out the dance but Ben, 44, was left feeling a little bruised when Joanne, 36, put him through his paces.

She pushed him back to fix his posture, telling him to go "banana shaped".

Ben winced, saying: "I've sipped another disc! I've slipped a disc."

When they went back to the desk, Ben wasn't impressed.

Susanna teased him: "You look a bit sore have you done your back in?"

Ben then complained again that he'd "slipped three discs".
