Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid did not hold back as they interviewed Business Minister Paul Scully on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday.
The TV presenters were keen to find out what the MP thought of Boris Johnson's initial decision not to self-isolate, despite having been in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid.
The PM and Chancellor Rishi Sunak initially said they'd be part of a daily testing pilot, despite being 'pinged' following a meeting with Covid-ridden Health Secretary Sajid Javid in Downing Street.
Boris U-turned two hours and 38 minutes later after fury at the 'one rule for them' approach.

During the interview with Mr Scully, Susanna asked: "Do you acknowledge that the Prime Minister and the chancellors decision over the weekend not to isolate, initially, did damage people’s compliance with isolation?"
Mr Scully replied: "Well it's important that we get clear messaging and it's so difficult to do this in this age of 24 hour news cycles..."
Ben then butted in: "Yeah they got it wrong didn’t they?” but the MP ignored his comment and continued talking.

"The Prime Minister has taken the right decision to self-isolate," he said.
"I just came out of self-isolation last Friday because someone in my household had a positive test, so I know how frustrating it is for people who are looking at this and trying to work out what's best for them."
"What did you think Mr Scully when you saw that announcement on Sunday?" Ben then quizzed him.

Appearing defensive, Mr Scully replied: "Frankly I wasn’t watching the rolling news at the time, I was out enjoying my freedoms."
But Ben was having none of it and fired back: "You’re a business minister and you weren’t across what the prime minister…"
"No, on a Sunday morning Ben when I was out in the Isle of Wight actually at someone's wedding..." he said stuttering.
As the interview came to a close, Ben made a sarcastic dig at Mr Scully as he turned to Susanna and said: "I’d like to go to a wedding that starts at 8am on a Sunday morning. That sounds like a great wedding, can we sort that out?"
Laughing at his comment, Susanna made her own dig and said: "I thought the Andrew Marr show was compulsory viewing for all political ministers."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
