Ben Shephard reveals "difficult" time on Tipping Point set as he makes GMB return

Ben Shephard revealed how coronavirus has made things "difficult" on the set of Tipping Point as he made a surprise return to Good Morning Britain on Thursday.

ITV host Ben revealed at the start of August that he was taking a break from GMB as filming was starting up again on the quiz show, after production was put on hold due to the pandemic.

But, speaking to GMB colleague Susanna Reid, Ben opened up about how things have had to change on Tipping Point due to COVID-19 restrictions.

If you've never watched Tipping Point, the ITV show sees four contestants answer general knowledge questions to win counters which they use on a large coin pusher arcade-style machine.

Only the winner at the end has a chance to take home any money; the others leave with nothing except any non-cash prizes they may have won during the game.

Explaining how filming had been going, Ben told Susanna: "The team have done an amazing job. The set has changed slightly so we cannot have four people in a line at the start."

"So we have two people in front and then two people behind them."

Susanna interrupted, exclaiming: "And you can't hug people when they win!"

Ben responded: "I can't hug them - which I have to say has been really difficult."

"We have filmed some brilliant episodes with some pretty big wins as well, and all I can do is jump up and down in the bubble."
