Piers Morgan returned to the helm of GMB alongside Susanna Reid on Tuesday after a break for the summer.

It seems Piers' return is still on the mind of Andi Peters after the embarrassing mix-up this morning.

"You can be our next big winner..." said Andi today a competition segment,  before saying: "Piers..."

He then quickly realised his mistake and said: "Piers? I meant Ben and Susanna."

He continued: "Have you ever got in the car and started driving to the wrong place?"

Susanna hit back: "No but I have heard people call presenters by the wrong name."

Ben was left speechless and continuously shook his head at Andi.

"That is showbiz," joked Ben.

Susanna was seen rolling her eyes as Ben look displeased with the camera cutting back to Andi.

Appearing via video link, Andi then brandished his fingers to his throat, telling producers to 'cut' in a hilarious end to the segment.

Some GMB viewers noticed the awkward gaffe and took to social media to comment on the excruciating moment.

"Fight, fight, fight. Ben would win," one wrote on Twitter.

Another quipped: "Awwww @benshephard don’t ya just love @andipeters x"

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV
