Good Morning Britain's Ben Shephard has joked that he racked up huge phone bill voting for I'm A Celeb's Kate Garraway to do the first Bush Tucker trial of the series.

The morning TV presenter, 55, took to social media to share his glee that his colleague, 52, was subject to being locked up in a glass box and suspended in the air with 30,000 cockroaches and a number of grubby rats.

Finding humour in the situation, Ben shared on Twitter : "First show - first trial for @kategarraway Great Britain you blooming legends!! #imaceleb2019."

He was then quizzed a social media user:"@benshephard Come on Ben how much did that cost you."
