Ben Shephard could be stepping into Piers Morgan's shoes, following his shock exit from Good Morning Britain earlier this month.
The father-of-two is the new favourite at 6-4 with bookmaker Coral to replace 55-year-old Piers Morgan as the permanent presenter on the popular ITV breakfast show.
Fellow GMB host Ranvir Singh is second best in the firm’s betting at 3-1, while former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson is 4-1.
"Ben Shephard is a safe pair of hands for GMB as he presents the show on a Thursday and Friday so he knows the drill pretty well,"said Coral’s John Hill.
"The betting suggests he could now be handed the reins five days a week."

Other famous faces in the running include Richard Madeley and Jeremy Vine at 6-1, Kay Burley at 8-1, and current GMB presenter Alex Beresford at 12-1.
However, according to reports Alex is eyeing up the chance to go to America and work in TV in the US following his on air row with Piers.
It comes after Good Morning Britain lost 255,000 viewers after controversial Piers quit following his Meghan Markle rant.

The daytime show, which saw Ben replace Piers on Monday morning, has seen its ratings plummet since the presenter walked away.
He announced he was stepping down from his role alongside Susanna Reid last Tuesday evening after storming off air moments after having a row with Alex over the Duchess of Sussex.
And now, it's been revealed that GMB viewers were down by 255,700, compared to last Monday.

Yesterday was the first Monday since Piers quit, and the episode saw 1.3 million people tuning in at its peak, with an average of 895,700 viewers, compared to last week's episode that attracted 1.9 million viewers.
Fans were eager to watch last Monday's show as Piers reacted to Meghan and Prince Harry's bombshell Oprah interview - where he claimed he 'didn't believe' her suicidal thoughts.
The viewership of that particular show, on March 8, averaged out at 1,151,400 million.

However, an ITV insider said: "Yesterday was up 16% year-on-year and was the third biggest Monday audience from 2021 so far."
They added: "Wednesday, which was presented by Ranvir Singh and Susanna Reid, was the second highest ever since launch."
