Ben Roethlisberger thinks Steelers will go offense in draft

When you are the franchise quarterback of a team, you are always rooting for your team to draft more players to help you out. So it is no surprise when Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was asked where he thought his team would go early in the 2020 NFL draft, he leaned toward the offensive side of the football.

“I still think they’ll address the offense,” said Roethlisberger, “We’ve gone defense in our top picks for a long time now and it showed. I’m excited about that defense. We’ll see what they decide when it comes to the draft.”

If the Steelers do opt for an offensive player with their second-round pick, what position would they favor? Based on the talent and depth in this draft class, the easiest choices are offensive tackle and running back.

Pittsburgh added help at tight end and guard in free agency and wide receiver seems fairly set in terms of starters. Nevertheless, if a speed receiver is sitting there in the second round, you can bet Roethlisberger would love to add him into the fold.
