Ben Roethlisberger makes it clear: ‘The goal isn’t to go undefeated. The goal is to win a Super Bowl’

Pittsburgh Steelers fans all over the world are ecstatic to see their team currently sitting at 9-0. This is unprecedented in franchise history. The whole thing is made even more exciting and satisfying when you consider the struggles of the past two seasons. But for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the team’s goal is much bigger than winning every game, it’s about winning the most important one.

This week Pittsburgh travels to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars and it should be a game the Steelers win handily. However, Roethlisberger understands a loss here isn’t the end of the world.

Unfortunately, in a crowded AFC playoff picture, it’s a little more complicated than that. There is only one bye week up for grabs and the Steelers need it. Undefeated might not be the goal but it might be the only way to get that top spot.
