Ben Godfrey insists on being the fourth Everton player on the pitch as one of 'thousands and thousands' of pre-match routines he undertakes.
The Blues defender also leaves a water bottle in a specific place as he prepares for a match.
Godfrey revealed some of his pre-game preparations in a joint-interview with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies, who were being quizzed by former Everton midfielder Leon Osman.
"Yeah, I have my routines before the game and that," Godfrey said.
"It's like little ones, like I have to be fourth out on game day and stuff, I go out before a game and leave a bottle somewhere.
"Just honestly, there's thousands, there's thousands."
Osman then asked: "And if all of them aren't done?"
But before Godfrey could reply, Davies jumped in with: "He still plays well."
