'Gibson for Worrall swap possible'
Nottingham Forest could be offered Burnley defender Ben Gibson as part of a swap deal for Joe Worrall, according to reports.
The Clarets have been linked with a summer swoop for Worrall, along with fellow Premier League club Sheffield United.
Now The Sun is reporting that Burnley would be willing to include Gibson in a deal to land the Forest centre-back.
However, the article adds that Worrall is seeking assurances that he will get first-team football at Turf Moor.
Burnley have enjoyed success with current centre-back pairing James Tarkowski and Ben Mee.
'Newcastle join Dickie hunt'
Nottingham Forest are among a host of clubs to have been linked with a summer move for Oxford United captain Rob Dickie.
The 24-year-old defender is expected to leave Oxford on the back of their League One play-off final defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.
Forest have been credited with an interest in the highly-rated centre-back, along with Championship rivals Derby County, Brentford and Queens Park Rangers.
But Dickie is also said to be attracting interest from Premier League clubs, such as Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham, Burnley and Southampton.
And now Newcastle United are reported to be weighing up a move for the £2million-rated player.
Hayes trials for Port Vale
Nottingham Forest striker Kieran Hayes featured as a trialist for Port Vale this weekend.
NottinghamshireLive recently reported that the 21-year-old forward was understood to be training with the League Two club.
And he was in action for them in a pre-season friendly against Blackpool at Vale Park on Saturday.
The youngster came on as a substitute for the final 10 minutes or so as the hosts stepped up their preparations for the 2020-21 campaign with a 2-1 defeat against their League One opponents.
Blackpool took a first-half lead through Sullay Kaikai after Vale striker Tom Pope had seen a penalty hit the post. Scott Burgess levelled soon after the restart but Keshi Anderson won it for the Seasiders.
