Ben Frederickson: Will Missouri football's quiet spring bloom into fall answers, or more question marks?

March Madness had its shining moments. Opening-day festivities came and closed. Another Masters winner has been green-jacketed. One of the busiest sections of the sports calendar is winding down, creating room for the annual percolation of college football fandom.

A rather significant season for Missouri football is sneaking up on us, isn’t it?

The Dennis Gates Basketball Revival taking place in CoMo helped reduce Mizzou football’s spring camp to a minor story.

So minor that some of you probably have not realized Mizzou’s spring game already occurred. The Tigers began their spring camp earlier than the rest of their SEC peers, and they wrapped it up with a closed-to-the-public spring game that was played indoors because of bad weather.

Miss it?

You had a good excuse.
