Ben Fogle worried pregnant wife would go into labour at William and Kate's wedding

Ben Fogle revealed he was worried that his heavily pregnant wife would go into labour during Prince William and Kate Middleton' s wedding.

William and Kate got married in Westminster Abbey on April 29 in 2011 and are celebrating their 10-year anniversary today.

The broadcaster, 47, and his wife Marina Fogle were invited to the Royal wedding but he was concerned about what would happen on the day.

"Marina was pregnant with our second child at the time," he wrote for The Telegraph.

"She would be eight months along at the wedding. What if she went into labour? I had a few sleepless nights worrying about that."

As she was so far along in her pregnancy with Iona Fogle, Marina had to use the bathroom a few times before the Queen arrived.

"We had been asked to arrive at Westminster Abbey early – two hours, I recall," he continued.

"So early that Marina needed a pregnancy-induced wee just before the bride and groom arrived.

"My sisters-in-law seized the opportunity to join her in a not-insignificant dash across the Abbey, getting caught in the aisle just as the Queen arrived.

He added: "I remember my face reddening at that."

Ben's memories of the wedding come as William and Kate shared new snaps as they celebrate their marriage milestone.

In the decade since their big day, William and Kate have had three children - George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, who just turned three.

Their wedding saw millions of viewers from around the globe tune in to see Kate walk down the aisle to marry her prince almost 10 years after they first met as freshers at the University of St Andrew's.
