Ben Foden breaks silence on Una Healy split in candid video: ‘I never meant to hurt her’

Ben Foden has admitted his life is a “mess” following his divorce from ex-wife Una Healy.

The former rugby ace got candid on his split from the Saturdays singer, 37, one year after he admitted to cheating on Healy.

During Sunday’s episode of special forces task show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, Foden told opened up about his regrets following his separation from the star.

The 33-year-old confessed: “My life’s a bit of a mess. I’ll always love Una. She’s my first love and the mother of my kids.

“I never meant to hurt her the way I did. I think it’s quite appropriate to do a course like this to put some perspective on everything. At the same time, it wasn't the only reason for our divorce to go through.”

He concluded: “It's not ideal, but we're very amicable, we're getting through it, we're not the first people in the world to get divorced. We've got two little kids we adore.

“At the moment anything that's published about me is never very good and pretty rightly so because I was the one who committed adultery.”

He added that whilst he misses his children Aoife, seven, and Tadhg, four, Healy is a “great mum”.

Foden’s candid comments come after Healy appeared to hit out at the six-year romance in sad ballad Strangers, released in March.

The track touched on “broken promises” and “believing lies” but has not been confirmed as referring to Foden.

Last year, the pair split on what was believed to be just days before their sixth wedding anniversary.

According to The Sun, Healy had become “suspicious” about her other half’s behaviour during her second pregnancy and confronted him about it.
