Ben Chilwell may have got himself into a spot of bother with the England camp.
It seems the Chelsea full-back has upset his national team boss due to a speedy recovery from injury ahead of the Blues' clash with Newcastle United today.
Chilwell has spent the last week or so away on international duty with England but he only managed 38 minutes, limping off during England's 2-0 defeat to Belgium due to a back injury.
He was then left out of the 4-0 dead-rubber win over Iceland to aid his recovery with the Three Lions camp showing some concern for the left-back.
But according to the Daily Mail, Southgate and the England camp are less than pleased to learn Chilwell has recovered swiftly to potentially feature against Newcastle for Chelsea in the Premier League today.
The report claims the left-back's recovery in time to feature for his club has not gone down well with Southgate, who saw his side miss out on an opportunity to reach the Nations League finals with the Belgium defeat.
It's claimed Chilwell now faces a battle to smooth things over and that his place is 'in jeopardy' with Bukayo Saka, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Kieran Trippier all in the frame to replace him if he cannot manage it.
Though, with no more international game until March, Chilwell has plenty of opportunities to reconnect with Southgate and prove himself on the pitch.
The full-back has featured 10 times for Chelsea so far this season, including five Premier League outings, initially missing action through an injury following his summer arrival from Leicester City,
