Ben Chilwell, Ross Barkley and Jack Grealish pay touching tribute to late Chelsea fan Andrew Wood

Ben Chilwell, Ross Barkley and Jack Grealish all paid tribute to late Chelsea fan Andrew Wood over the weekend.

Devoted Blues fan Wood passed away last Thursday, aged 33, leaving behind his wife Hayley and two sons.

Following his passing, Chelsea players of present and past, including Cesar Azpilicueta, Frank Lampard and John Terry, took to social media to pay tribute.

And tributes continued at the weekend when three players dedicated their goal celebrations to late Blues fan 'Woody'.

Chilwell scored his first Chelsea goal in the win over Crystal Palace and celebrated by making the letter 'A' with his hands.

And Ross Barkley, who scored on his Aston Villa debut after joining the Midlands club on loan, did the same as Dean Smith's men defeated champions Liverpool 7-2.

The tributes didn't end there, either. Villa captain Jack Grealish followed Barkley's lead with the 'A' gesture.

Chelsea fans are raising money for one of their own in Wood, who followed the Blues home and away, attending the Europa League final in Baku in 2019 among other lengthy away days.

A Just Giving page, which can be found here, has already raised more than £8,100 with a target of £10,000 set, supporters leaving messages of sympathy along with their donations.
