Ben Chilwell blown away by one aspect of Hakim Ziyech's game since arriving at Chelsea

Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell has hailed Hakim Ziyech's passing ability following the Moroccan international's strong start to life at Stamford Bridge.

After missing the start of the season through injury, Ziyech has shown exactly why the Blues were so keen to sign him with his past few performances.

Since making his competitive debut in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Southampton back last month, Ziyech, currently away with Morocco on international duty, has scored two goals and claimed three assists in just seven appearances.

After stepping off the bench as a substitute against Southampton, Sevilla and Manchester United, Ziyech was handed his first start in the 4-0 win against FC Krasodar, with the versatile attacker marking the occasion with a goal. The former Ajax star has since scored once and claimed three assists in the Premier League victories against Burnley and Sheffield United.

And it was last weekend's win over the Blades that certainly attracted no shortage of attention, with his passing range and eye for an assist earning rave reviews.

Now, Chilwell, who also joined Chelsea in a memorable summer transfer window, has revealed that Ziyech's range of passing is "one of the best" he has ever witnessed.

"When you look at Hakim's ability to find a pass in the final third, and zing a a 60-yard diagonal [pass], his passing range is one of the best I have seen, and his left foot is something else," Chilwell told Soccer AM.

"The Krasnodar game was the first game that me and him have started together and he must have done three of four 60-yard switches to me.

"So, for someone's legs who are so small, to be able to do a 60 or 70-yard diagonal like that is something impressive."

Ziyech's eye for a pass and ability to create chances for his team-mates, should come as no surprise to anyone in truth, with the 27-year-old having registered a whopping 48 assists since the start of the 2018/19 season for both Ajax and Chelsea combined.
