June 13--TAMPA, Fla. -- Ben Bishop skated for the Lightning prior to Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday against the Blackhawks
But that doesn't necessarily mean Bishop will play.
The Lightning goaltender also skated prior to Game 4 before he did not dress on Wednesday. If Bishop cannot go, Andrei Vasilevskiy will get his second start in net.
Bishop said he is making progress with his undisclosed injury and that he and coach Jon Cooper would decide in the afternoon if Bishop could play.
"It's not one person saying one thing. It's a conversation between all of the parties. A decision gets made," Bishop said. "I mean, it's not one person saying one thing. But it's a
conversation."
The Hawks profess it doesn't matter who is in goal.
"It's all part of the process at this time of the year," Patrick Kane said. "We don't expect them to say a day early or the morning of a skate who will be in net. We do some of that too. It's always part of the process."
The Hawks kept the same lines that ended Game 4, with coach Joel Quenneville saying they would "probably" stay the same. They were:
Patrick Sharp-Jonathan Toews-Marian Hossa
Brandon Saad-Brad Richards-Patrick Kane
Kris Versteeg-Antoine Vermette-Teuvo Teravainen
Andrew Shaw-Marcus Kruger-Andrew Desjardins
